Created Using a unique painting Thousands Cork Bottle Stoppers
Scott Gundersen‘s line of work is not what one would call “common”. The designer and visual artist currently living in Chicago creates stunning portraits with the help of thousands of cork bottle stoppers. His intricate creations start off with a large scale photo, which Scott slowly fills up with corks. Each bottle stopper has its own, well chosen spot, in order to make the overall portrait as realistic as possible. The video at the end of the post is a film shot during the creation of “Grace”, a 66” x 96” portrait which took no less than 9,217 wine corks and 50 hours to build up. We find the overall result remarkable, not to mention highly original.
