I have to admit I never picked up an issue of Town & Country until Stephen Drucker took over. Not sure what it was like before, but his first issue impressed me. This Atlanta home designed by color genius Miles Redd and photographed by Francesco Lagnese is opulence at its finest. The living room?? The walls are covered in stretched turquoise silk satin. The dressing room? Hand painted de Gournay wallaper. And the breathtaking bedroom floor?? Oscar de la Renta leopard-print carpet. I love the fashion sketches in the bathroom covering the platinum blue Boussac Tarentelle wallpaper too. Oh the other half! Time to announce the lucky winner of the Candace Rose giveaway! Wow! You guys gave us some amazing ideas yesterday!! Thanks a million for all of your feedback, we so appreciate it! So many of you said how incredible the Caribbean is. I'd die, I swear to you, being somewhere like the La Samanna Villas on the island of St Martin. The extraordinary view of the Caribbean Sea would be the end of me! Not only is the view breathtaking, but the interiors designed by Marc Michaels are so elegantly comfortable, I can't believe it's not someone's home. I love how our favorite color is paired with oranges, reds, pinks and greens...for "a true Caribbean spirit"! If that is the spirit of the Caribbean, I'm so there!

I'm almost certain that this picture perfect apartment featured on Delikatissen, most likely in some fab European city, could convince any American to down-size to 430 square feet. (Unless you live in NY, you guys already rock your small spaces!) Despite its limited size, the comfy and cozy home has such a great flow about it. Not to mention a striking color palette that I don't see nearly enough! How fun is that fabric and wallpaper?! You definitely want to see more of this home...head right this way !

My heart went pitter-patter when I discovered the Nines , a new luxury hotel that opened in the fall above Macy's in the old Meier & Frank building in downtown Portland, Oregon. The Nines' design themes came from SERA Architects of Portland and interior designer ForrestPerkins . The gorgeous rooms use a turquoise called Sonoma sky and an espresso brown. What's especially cool is that the hotel is as eco-friendly as they come. According to a press-release: Eco-consciousness has been a key element to the development of the Nines, which anticipates LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. To achieve this prestigious designation, conservation-focused plumbing, including low-flow faucets, have been put in place in order to save 400,000 gallons of water each year. All products used in daily housekeeping are “Green Sealed,” and the hotel retains 50 percent of its energy from renewable sources including wind power and carbon offsets. Low-emitting adhesiv...

Room Envy found this glamorous dining room full of teal goodness. Everything is so perfectly coordinated with the bold wallpaper. Love that centerpiece and ornate chandelier!

A couple weeks ago Daisy Pink Cupcake wrote a really great post featuring all sorts of fantastic fireplaces. I thought this one was particularly cool....love those pretty Tiffany blue painted shelves! And do I spy a similar shade on the ceiling? I'm digging the stripes too. But seriously, that fireplace....one day...one day....

I'm not the biggest fan of the brown and blue combo (although thechocolateblues.com is my most popular decor shopping blog), but this bedroom in the Traditional Home Built for Women Showhouse III designed by Scott Laslie is just so pretty. I love the block-print fabric for draperies and upholstered headboard, especially combined with the pink accents. And how about that chandelier? Wow.
