Reconstruction of Robert Kennedy's House

The historical seatof Kennedy family in Mountain Kisco, New Yorkwas heavily destroyed by rot after last year flooding. Owners Robertand Mary who use this house during holidays did not want to demolishthe house instead they decided for reconstruction using the lastenvironmental friendly technologies and materials. The house, originally built in colonial style, received a new face. Highershield, gray lining and massive chimneys evoke the idea of ruralEngland.

The main interierdesigner Robin Wilson based reconstruction on four main principles:preserve what can be preserved, reuse what can be reused, usenontoxic and recyclable materials, use modern energy savingtechnologies.
